Minecraft App

in response too: http://gigaom.com/apple/buyer-beware-this-is-not-the-minecraft-pocket-edition-youre-looking-for/

Put simply, we disclose what the app is and in no way we are trying to trick the consumer. we actually registered the name "minecraft - pocket edition" first before anyone else, thats why the other app has "--" two dashes, if you read the description of the app, like everyone should before buying and not assume anything, i clearly state.

"screenshots below are in game and not apart of this app. the tool recipes are. please read before buying. i repeat. please read the description before buying. the screenshots below show you the game this app is talking about, its not the actual game"

how much more clear can someone be?

Minecraft – Pocket edition

Minecraft is focused on creativity and building, allowing players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world. Gameplay in its commercial release has two principal modes: Survival, which requires players to acquire resources themselves and maintain their health and hunger; and Creative, where the player has an unlimited supply of resources, the ability to fly, and no concept of health or hunger. A third gameplay mode, named Hardcore, ratchets up the difficulty of surviving and forces the player to delete his or her world upon death. An outdated Classic version is also available for free, although it is no longer being developed. Creative Minecraft resembles Classic, but with many more features.

Both the iOS and Android versions of Pocket Edition have the same gameplay, which is akin to that of the Classic game mode, with the following differences:
World is finite as in Classic version but there isn't infinite water at world corners
The terrain generation is similar to that of Alpha's. It lacks many biomes, generated structures, and there are only few small Caverns.
In the Pocket Edition one has the ability to place only Wooden Planks, Cobblestone, Sandstone, Dirt, Brick (Block), Stone, Torches, Ladders, yellow Flowers, various shades and colours of Wool, Glass, Leaves, Cobblestone and Wooden Stairs, stone Slabs, (Oak) Wood, Gold (Block), Iron (Block), Diamond (Block), Sugar Cane, Cyan Flowers, Mushrooms, and Obsidian.
Blocks that exist but are unobtainable are Ice, Snow, Lava, Water, Coal Ore, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Diamond Ore, Redstone (Ore), Lapis Lazuli (Ore), Grass, Clay, (Birch and Pine/Spruce) Wood, Bedrock, Cactus, Sugar Cane and Gravel.
The Pocket Edition does not have a visible sky.
Water in the pocket edition is finite as compared to the infinite water in Classic.
It lacks many of the settings the Classic version has.
Neither sand nor gravel move directly above the nearest block directly below them (this was Classic's version of falling).
The hot bar only contains three different blocks (or 8 for the Xperia Play version)
Spawn points cannot be set in the Pocket Edition.
[Online mode] only 5 players can be on 1 server.
